The RACQ Foundation have generously provided funds for the RMGA to purchase a solar battery (TESLA Powerwall 2), and to improve internet access at the grounds. The battery, connected to our canteen solar system, will eliminate one electricity bill for the grounds, and give us independent supply during grid failures.
We continue to work with Council, and other investors, to improve the financial viability of the grounds, and build facilities for use during emergencies and natural disasters. Thank you to Lacey Sawtell, from Council, who helps us to find investors like the RACQ Foundation. Thanks also to Mayor, Greg Christensen, local members (Scott Buchholz MP and Jon Krause MP), the Rathdowney Rural Fire Service, and locals such as Tracey Kerr and Carol Taylor who have supported our applications.
