Our President recently accepted an award, from Queensland Police, acknowledging RMGA’s help during the 2019 Mt Barney Fires. The award belongs to everyone who helped out at the grounds, to support the firies and other emergency responders. Thank you.
It’s an important part of what we do, and we continue to maintain the grounds so we are ready to help!
Thanks also to the Scenic Rim Regional Council, who continue to support us in developing the grounds for use during local emergencies and natural disasters. Just this week, Mayor Greg Christensen, has supported our application through the RACQ Foundation, to install a solar battery at the canteen and ensure continuity of power during grid failures. We also have grant applications in to upgrade amenities and equipment.
